As far as stem cell research goes, stem cell research was not banned by the bush admin, rather, government funds were not allocated to it. Unfortunately for us, more ridiculous programs are not having funds taken away!
If there was a market for stem cell research the private industry (glaxo kline smith (sp?)), bayer, or pfizer or someone would have started doing in depth research on it by now.

I agree, he had a hand in the demise of funding. I’m saying more stuff should have a demise in funding. I guess, my point is too much stuff is funded by the imperial federal gov’t under any administration. But I see what you are saying with reasoning behind denying SCR was not for the correct reason.
As a supporter of the free market, if SCR was truly marketable those private corporations would have gobbled up researching it with funding only from private industry.
And on top of that with private/free market funding it would be figured out more efficiently without layers of bureaucracy!
